StripNet Jet Sprinklers Technical Information
PRODUCT HOME | SPRINKLERS HOME | StripNet Sprinklers Technical Information

"Targeted" or "Strip" frost control has gained tremendous interest in vineyards in recent years - primarily due to the concept's water saving potential. But growers have discovered two serious flaws with these ultra low-flow sprinklers:
They can freeze up - just when you need them the most.
Proper sprinkler alignment, which is critical to the success of targeted systems, is very difficult and costly to maintain.
After three years of global research and field tests, Netafim has solved these problems and more - with the new StripNet Frost Control

StripNet field test conducted at 24˚F, near King City, California, in March of 2002.

StripNet Flow-Regulated Strip Spray

Reliability - You Can Count On
Repeated field tests have shown that StripNet's continuous flow allows it to run reliably below freezing (as low as 24˚F). Your actual results may vary depending upon the source water temperature, system design, start-up temperature and dew point.

Unmatched Performance
The StripNet is flow-regulating, making it the perfect choice for hillside applications or longer rows.

Energy and Water Saving
The StripNet Frost Control System operates as low as 20 GPM per acre (depending upon vine row spacing) - less than half the water required by full-coverage sprinkler systems.

Maintenance-Free
Alignment problems are solved with the unique, grower-designed Strip-Stake mounting system - just install it and forget it. Proper alignment is automatic.
